Dreaming of a kitchen or bathroom remodel? Here are some of my favorite tile options for your shower, floor, or backsplash...
a. Mixed marbles are still making me swoon. This one is from Mosaique Surface
b. Traditional black-and-white tile layouts will be a classic for all time. This look can also be budget-friendly. If you want to try this I'd recommend sourcing plain white subway tiles and black pencil liners from Dal Tile.
c. Relief patterns on tile are a subtle way to add interest. I'm loving these sculptural designs from Tile Bar.
d. You can't go wrong with Ann Sacks tile. This little sculpture is ready to become a permanent art installation in your shower!
e. Concrete Collaborative out of California is always winning me over with something light-hearted and colorful. If you don't like fun, then stay away, it's not for you ;)
f. Trends will come and go, but terrazzo will always be at the top of my list. This photo shows a brass insert in place of one of the grout lines and I can't get enough. Terrazzo can be found many places, but this particular photo is from Decorative Materials.
g. This cement collection by Bert & May makes modernism fun and playful.
h. Don't forget the details. The edge of a tile is usually not finished to match the face. Because of this, a trim piece will be needed at the outside edge of your tile. These are some marble pencil liners in beautiful colors from Cle Tile.
i. Hand-crafted tiles in one solid color are a popular way to finish a shower enclosure right now. Here is a pretty example from The Tile Expert.
j. The back of an island can be an opportunity for an injection of color and pattern. This photo shows some peel-and-stick tiles from an Etsy seller called SirFaceGraphics, but another thing that could work here is my own collection of peel-and-stick wallpaper!
