Bathroom Plumbing Fixtures - Don't Miss These Tips

Choosing plumbing fixtures for your new primary bathroom may seem simple, but there are some key details that you could easily miss! Let me give you some quick pointers.

a. Accessories

As you choose your plumbing fixtures, consider whether matching towel bars, toilet paper holders, and toilet tank levers are available. It can be tricky to match the finish on these items to your plumbing fixtures if they are from a different company. Here are the links to the ones above:


b. Toilet

Toilets can range in cost wildly, but the Toilet is never where I am using the budget for my bathroom remodels. Simple and functional is ideal, and I love a skirted base for easy cleaning!


c. Shower Tower

Using two shower heads in one shower can be much more tricky than you want it to be. Many companies offer kits, but here are my problems with the kits:

  1.  I want the handheld shower to function like a great shower-head and not just a cute accessory.

  2. My partner and I have a notable height difference, and we need to be able to move that handheld up and down.

  3. Shower kits can cost a fortune!

After weeks of research, here is the combo that I have been happy with:


d. Sink and Faucet

We have used this trough sink twice, and I still love it.


e. Shower Base

Did you know you can hide that ugly shower drain with a pretty teak wood cover!?! Covering the shower drain may be my favorite primary bathroom trick. Here are the parts:
